Beyond the Looking Glass; A TFR x MIRL SDW Commemorative Piece

Phygital media blurs the line between physical and digital channels to create a consistent omnichannel experience. Augmented and virtual reality are illusions and vagaries of phygital perceptions, temporal constructs of the human intellect trying to justify an object’s existence. Aptly titled “Beyond the Looking Glass”, this NFT artwork capitalizes on the duality of the physical and digital worlds, exploring the notion of the ever-evolving AI learning, adapting, yet trapped in the system. Imagine viewing this artwork through the camera app on your phone, or if you’d like to, try it for yourself for the intended perspective. At the end of the sequence, the viewers find themselves staring back at their reflections on the black screen, a bold suggestion to invoke self-reflection on the disparities between humans and AI, our lives and its technological construct.
